Chancellor of the University of Sam Ratulangi Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat M.Sc DEA in her speech said: The magnificent UNSRAT auditorium is a witness to every graduation ceremony that is lively and full of impressions, thousands of auditorium seats are always filled with graduates and parents. Today the Chancellor stands in the same UNSRAT auditorium in every graduation ceremony, but this graduation the atmosphere is much different, the auditorium chairs look empty.

The Covid-19 pandemic is separating us, forcing us not to meet face-to-face and Covid-19 changing everything.

Today's graduation which is held online is one form of manifestation that must be taken in an effort to color and adapt as well as a solution to the impact of changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Be proud that all of you were given the opportunity to carve a history of life through online graduation, which was the first time an educational institution around the world had conducted it in 2020.

The Chancellor hopes that graduates can use the certificates that have been obtained to start an initiative and work, as well as write a new page of professional life through the first step in creating job opportunities.

The Chancellor advised to maintain the image of the alma mater through action, work ethic and integrity as an alumni of UNSRAT while still adhering to the philosophy of UNSRAT Sitou Timou Tumou Tou / Human Life To Humanize Other Humans.
