Ellen Joan Kumaat M.Sc DEA in her speech said: The commemoration of this year's Dies Natalis, various changes are taking place on a global scale, this presents various challenges, including in the implementation of higher education in Indonesia.

The challenges of education in the globalization era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Society 5.0, Making Indonesia 4.0 and the Merdeka Campus require innovation and fast action. UNSRAT responds by developing an innovative academic culture to produce superior human resources that are in line with the realization of national goals and the Indonesian nation. Campuses are challenged to package knowledge and information that will be disseminated in the right media, which can be accessed and enjoyed by the community and students as a source of relevant knowledge.

UNSRAT which is accredited by institution A and is in the "Top 50 Universities in Indonesia" continues to move towards realizing the vision and mission of improving the quality of human resources, opening up space for innovation and continuing to make optimal use of technology, as well as producing broad social impacts.

In responding to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, UNSRAT has launched an innovation to accommodate the needs of students and lecturers, even alumni, namely the INSPIRE Portal. This is a breakthrough taken to adapt to the current conditions in the online learning and lecture process.
