Today Sam Ratulangi University held the Inauguration of Professor Prof. Dr. Herman Karamoy SE, M. Si, Ak. CA. In its implementation, the inauguration was carried out in 2 ways, namely offline limited which was attended by 25 members of the senate and invited guests including
Mayor Elect Andrei Angow and Vice President Director of Siloam Hospitals Group
Caroline Riady, the online implementation was attended by 100 participants of the zoom meeting and 100 youtube viewers.
In his speech, the Chancellor of the University of Sam Ratulangi, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat M.Sc DEA said: Becoming a professor is not the end of the career achievement of a lecturer, but instead makes this title a spirit that always generates new inspiration to produce works that are more brilliant and useful for the wider community.
A professor is essentially a teacher educator, as well as a researcher whose achievements are eagerly awaited by the wider community as part of a form of service.
The Chancellor hopes that after this inauguration will further enhance the role and function of universities in North Sulawesi and Indonesia, and be able to become a pioneer in presenting elements of novelty in research and service both nationally and internationally.
