Journalism Training and Website of Work Units at Sam Ratulangi University

Manado, – On February 28, 2019, the Unsrat Information Technology Training Development Center led by Yaulie Rindengan, ST., MT and the Unsrat Media Center Dr. Drs. Max Rembang, MSi held Journalism Training and Work Unit Websites throughout Sam Ratulangi University, while this training was held so that all faculties and institutions could reactivate their respective faculties' websites which in recent years were no longer active, only 3 to 5 XNUMX Faculties and institutions whose websites are still active and updated.

This training was opened by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Esry Olly H. Laoh, MS and immediately followed by Joy Elly Tulung, SE., MSc., PhD from the Media Center Unsrat who brought the latest condition of the Unsrat website and social media and how important the existence of faculty and institutional websites in providing one-stop information to Public.

Carla C. Gerret from Koran Manado provided journalistic material where later several participants would become news writers for each work unit and supply news to the website managers of each faculty.

This training was closed by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. Grevo Gerung, MSc, in his speech said that the Unsrat website and well-organized Faculties and Institutions that provide information about the advantages of Unsrat in research supported by Unsrat Social Media will greatly help Unsrat's ranking in Webometrics which is currently ranked 34 universities in Indonesia.
