Visit of the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI, Dr. Sjarifuddin Hasan, MM, MBA. The group at Sam Ratulangi University was accompanied by the Chancellor of the Sam Ratulangi University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat, MSc, DEA., Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni Drs. Ronny Gosal, MSi., also Vice Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Ronny A. Maramis, SH., MH., as well as the Deputy Deans of 3 Unsrat and BEM Unsrat.

In his speech, the Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI, Dr. Sjarifuddin Hasan, MM, MBA will revive the GBHN as a guide in carrying out development. Responding to this, the MPR will immediately conduct discussions through the MPR Review Board and the State Administration Review Commission as supporting elements. In addition, community involvement is required through various programs to absorb aspirations, including higher education academics.

“As long as I absorb aspirations to academics in several campuses, I see their responses, criticisms, ideas and inputs are extraordinary, focusing on three things, namely firstly agreeing that the GBHN has emerged through a limited amendment to the Constitution, secondly disagreeing with the emergence of the GBHN and thirdly, that the GBHN can present through the law alone without changing the constitution”.

Chancellor of the University of Sam Ratulangi Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat, MSc, DEA in her speech said: thanking the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI, Dr. Sjarifuddin Hasan, MM, MBA for his presence at Sam Ratulangi University in the context of a working visit to absorb people's aspirations, especially UNSRAT academics and students discussing the GBHN issue.
