Joint Agreement between the Agricultural Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture and Sam Ratulangi University

Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Dr. Syahrul Yasino Limpo SH. M.Si MH in his speech said: we must actualize and accelerate improving the quality and capability of agriculture in responding to the challenges and future of the Indonesian nation, especially in our area from Sabang to Merauke more specifically in Eastern Indonesia.

This mutual agreement is in the context of strengthening as well as providing mutual support from the Agricultural Quarantine Center of the Ministry of Agriculture to Universities and vice versa.

The mutual agreement that will be carried out is in the form of research collaboration in the development of science and technology in the form of:

– Methods of detection and identification of animal pests and diseases and plant-disturbing organisms through laboratory testing,

– Treatment methods for the elimination of pests and diseases of animals and plant-disturbing organisms

– Detection and identification methods of genetically modified product types, genetic resources and invasive alien species

– Laboratory testing methods for food and feed safety

– Implementation of the independent learning program

– Other methods that support the objective of protecting the natural resources of living animals and plants as well as increasing exports through health and quality/quality of agricultural food commodities/products.
