Sam Ratulangi University successfully held a series of Halal Bi Halal 1441 H activities. At the peak of the event organized by the Halal Bi Halal Committee in collaboration with BTM Ulil Albab, IKRAR Ulil Albab, and the State Savings Bank (BTN) Manado which presented the famous preacher, KH Abdullah Gymnastiar who we usually know as AA Gym.
In tausiyah he reminded the need for friendship and accepting differences as a gift that should complement and strengthen each other, as well as maintain peace within the frame of brotherhood.
Chancellor of Sam Ratulangi University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ellen Joan Kumaat, M.Sc., DEA in her speech said that Halal Bi Halal is a momentum to re-knit brotherhood and unity to build UNSRAT to be more advanced. Although the Halal Bi Halal activity this time with the theme "Knitting Unity and Harmony, and Caring for Others in the Middle of Covid-19" was carried out virtually, it did not dampen the interest of participants to attend and enliven the highlight of the event. This can be seen from the many participants who attended, which were not only from students, lecturers, and leaders of institutions and faculties within the Sam Ratulangi University, but were also attended by guests outside the UNSRAT environment.
In the closing session, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sangkertadi, DEA, Deputy Chancellor IV Unsrat, expressed his gratitude to Unsrat partners especially BTN Manado for sponsoring a series of UNSRAT Halal Bi Halal activities. This activity was also attended and gave a speech from representatives of the Governor of North Sulawesi, Abdullah Mokoginta, SH., M.Sc.
The previous series of activities that have been carried out as part of the Halal Bi Halal 1441 H activity are providing iftar for those who are fasting, holding a series of online seminars about Covid-19, holding a calligraphy art competition, a lecture competition and recitation competition, distribution of basic necessities for students from across the globe. religions affected by Covid-19, security personnel and cleaning staff at Sam Ratulangi University.
